Why Support the Fair Trade Movement?
One of our core missions at Fair Space is to create a platform for advocacy on sustainable and ethical consumption practices. As we enter into the peak giving season, this is a pivotal time when we, as consumers, have the power to create positive impact in the way that we choose to give and receive gifts.
Purchasing handcrafted gifts that have been made in some of the world's most disadvantaged regions creates vital sources of income for producers that don't have the economic safety nets that many countries benefit from. The craft sector employs significant numbers of people across the Global South, ensuring traditional artisan skills are passed down through generations and new and sustainable product innovations are created. A significant amount of Fair Trade products are made from recycled, upcycled and sustainable natural materials.
We are proud to be one of many Australian enterprises creating access to market for these beautiful products, and in turn ensuring that this burgeoning global sector thrives into the future.
